The Cotton House project was an extraordinary opportunity to relaunch a Marriott hotel brand from scratch. This distinctive travel destination has been established in a refurbished, 19th-century, neoclassical landmark building in Barcelona. Cotton spools, guilloche patterns, and typography from 18th-century Spanish currency inspired the design aesthetic. Catapult designer, Kevin Cantrell, developed a comprehensive identity system, including logos, signage, printed materials, brochure design, digital design, and advertising. The identity system also included the development of a custom font that was appropriately named “Cottonhouse Slab.”
